PVI is thrilled to host Leah Crocetto and Mark Markham on Saturday Nov 3rd at 7pm in a preview of their Carnegie Hall debut recital.
Leah is no stranger to DC audiences. Since her WNO debut as Madame Lidoine in Poulenc's Dialogues of the Carmelites, she returned last season as the title role in Verdi's Aida and also as Elisabeth in Don Carlo. She is praised for her “extraordinary display of sumptuous vocal tone, regal phrasing, and technical agility” (San Francisco Chronicle). A winner of the 2010 Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions, she has opened the San Francisco Opera’s 2016–2017 season in the title role of Verdi’s Aida, mesmerized audiences in song repertoire, and electrified in operatic roles from Mozart to Puccini. This recital will include works by Respighi, Poulenc, Rachmaninoff, and Peebles.
Walk-ins are welcome at this FREE concert, however please let us know if you plan to attend. RVSP at firstname.lastname@example.org
