Singers & Saints: The do's and don'ts of singing Oratorio

from 25.00

Chances are that the first time you get hired to sing an oratorio will be the first time you get to sing the piece with a conductor. This unique workshop offers the opportunity to coach oratorio repertoire with Erin Freeman (Artistic Director at the Wintergreen Music Festival and Academy, Director of the Richmond Symphony Chorus and Virginia Commonwealth University Director of Choral Activities). Sopranos Arianna Zukerman and Jennifer Casey Cabot, both of whom have extensive experience in concert repertoire, will also offer private coachings to add insight into singing concert repertoire from the soloist's perspective.

Singers are encouraged to bring rehearsed and ready-to-go ensembles (duets, trios, quartets) if you'd like to work on those during the workshop!

Saturday, January 20, 2018 from 10am-5pm

***We have scheduled this workshop to allow you time to complete an application for the Oratorio Society of New York Competition (deadline is February 1 and the age limit is 40) should you wish to work on repertoire for that competition.
