We understand that the cost of tuition for any educational program requires budgeting and financial strategy. In order to help our students with financing, PVI is working with area church music directors in an effort to secure auditions for soloist, section leader, ringer, and sub positions for singers in the PDP.
Additionally, we are partnering with Songs by Heart Foundation to provide short, informal, interactive recitals at memory care facilities. After participating in the short training program, PDP singers and pianists will go into the facilities and sing with the patients, providing entertainment and mental stimulation to those with dementia and Alzheimer’s. We expect to offer these recitals, several per week in most cases, at a rate of $65 per gig. Visit http://www.songsbyheart.org/ for additional information.
Singers cast in productions with our artistic partners (such as Baltimore Concert Opera) will receive competitive performance fees.
All fees from singing jobs will be paid directly to the singers, not to PVI. Singers with administrative skills may be eligible for work study positions within the PVI organization to offset the cost of attendance.
